Erin Johnston grew up in Vancouver, Canada, where her passion for nature, food, art and design developed. Her interest in the practices of consumption stem from a childhood in the restaurant business. Her research in the food industry has also lead to her fascination in personal health as well as animal ethics.
She believes that learning from the observation of other people is essential to her research process because it keeps her engaged and interested in what she is learning.
She works in a variety of mediums, including paints, graphite, and digital work. Erin creates and designs work to engage people on the issues and topics she is passionate about.
